Accommodation recommendation
The whole region is always full of tourists during that period and therefore Platon suggests that they take care of the accommodation as quickly as possible in order to avoid any last minute problems.

Location of Hotel
Airport
The closest airport to Katerini is Thessaloniki Airport. There are some smaller airports nearby but I won’t recommend using those.
After you land at Thessaloniki airport there are the plenty of options for travelling to Katerini:
- By taxi. It will cost you around 100€ from the airport to the hotel.
We can arrange the taxi for you (app. 1hour in total).
- By city transportation. Just outside the arrivals gate there is a bus stop for the city bus 01X. It will take you from the airport (first stop) to the intercity bus station (last stop). From there you can take the bus to Katerini that it will take you to Katerini bus station (one intercity bus every half hour). From the bus station you can take a taxi to the hotel. The ticket for the city bus is 2,00€ and you can buy it from the booth on the bus stop just outside the arrivals gate. The ticket for the intercity bus costs 6,50€ and you can buy at the Intercity bus station. The taxi will cost you 9€-10€ (app. 2 hours in total, airport bus available 7/24, intercity bus available from 06:30 to 22:30 every day).
- By Train. You will again have to take bus 01X in front of the arrivals but you will get off at the train station. There is almost one train For Katerini every 1 hour and the ticket costs 9,00€. From the train station you can take a taxi to the hotel. The taxi will cost you 9€-10€. (app. 2 and a half hours in total,airport bus available 7/24, train available from 05:30 to 23:00 everyday).
