  • 13th November 2023 Travel Day
  • 14th November 2023 Day 1
  • 15th November 2023 Day 2 (or travel day for fights departing from 17:00 onwards)
  • 16th November 2023 Travel Day
Some background to the partnership

This partnership brings together the experience in:
- intercultural education, inclusion and teacher education expertise,
- experience in transformative learning and cultural diplomacy in schools for social cohesion,
- building sustainable and active communities of learning and
- use of creative media and avenues for teaching and learning.

Partner Universities CSI and UNIC will involve their students, they will take up the training module and also test the toolkit during their teaching practice reaching out to schools that are not part of this partnership.

Two schools from Malta and Bologna were invited to join the consortium as a result of other cooperations and in order that all partner countries have a presence in primary schools.

Synkoino Coop will also test the toolkit in schools within its community of cooperative schools in which they already implement cultural diplomacy activities.

Idea Malta, CSI and UNIC will organise part of the training module content to be delivered live to the partners and recorded during two in-presence project meetings so that when the online module is available on the Universities' platform it will also have content that is alive and dynamic therefore more engaging.

Idea Malta will also coach the partners testing the toolkit to record some sessions and record testimonials that will be structured to become an ancillary part of the training module therefore giving a user/target group contribution to the learning experience. Idea Malta will carry out all the post production to blur faces and ensure protection of all on screen and direct schools to collect consent forms etc.

Some background to the roles in the project

The project timeline will be explained during the kick-off meeting so that we all get a better global picture.

CSI will be the leader of the project leading the consortium, relations with the National Agency and responsible for the reporting and monitoring of the whole project.
CSI will have two very close tandem partners namely:
- ValIda that will support with the maintenance of the learning community of the project in a Community of Learning environment because this will alleviate the leader CSI from the supervision of collecting feedbacks and contributions to research, feedbacks in quality management and participants' engagement and progress in the testing of training and toolkit and
- Idea Malta as a technical partner for aspects of media use, generation of filmed training activities, training of teachers in use of media and technologies, as well as filming and post production discipline of school activities when testing the toolkit and collecting users' stories. It will also share some of the responsibilities of animation and maintenance of the Community of Learning.

CSI and UNIC will work in tandem in all the design of teacher education aspects of the project, delivery and production of lessons, certification and quality management of the training content.
They will also supervise the design of the Toolkit in order that it is developed in close link to the training module and according to ethics and culturally sensitive education content and provision.
In this process both partners will engage their experts in pedagogy, training design, intercultural education and cultural diplomacy in schools.
They will both involve their student teachers in the project activities also reaching to schools within their network via teaching practice.

LABA and Synkoino Coop will contribute to the design of cultural diplomacy activities in schools based on their separate and joint experiences.
Synkoino Coop will involve at least one school in its area for testing of toolkit etc.
The schools Maria Regina, Fredinand Buisson, Platon and Istituto Comprensivo will involve their teachers in training meetings, testing the online training module, contribution towards research into regional needs, testing the toolkit and contributing with filming of activities and liaison with Idea Malta for technical implementation of this aspect. School partners will also contribute with their experience and needs awareness towards the design of the training and toolkit during early development.

All partners take part in quality management, administration and reporting.
All partner schools will lead and organise a regional campaign on gender equality as part of the dissemination effort towards the end of the project.
