Social Responsiblity is an important part of the philosophy of the Equality Street project and therefore we have put together some thoughts about small but important measures adopted during its implementation in the form of manifestos.
Inclusion Manifesto
All the project activities and the infrastructures that will host project activities allow physical access due to national regulations however, over and above this, any participant that may need special assistance will be provided for by the partner implementing the local activity or hosting a meeting, training or school ambassador activity.
Accessibility to learning activities online seek to cater for the widest possible opportunities for all:
- with multilingual automatic translation, subtitles etc. as may be required or technically possible,
- visual impairment sensitive project website (and other administrative tools if necessary) and
- learning platform/s that have the necessary tools to ensure accessibility for participants with impairments that need special assistance and tools.
Inclusion is key in a project on Gender Equality.
All partners have experience and a social mission that is sensitive to inclusion be it in the area of intercultural education, inclusion of migrants and persons from groups at risk of exclusion, different cultural and economic backgrounds.
Inclusion has been embedded in the project design with the planned School Ambassador Events so that schools become constructive players for inclusion in their respective communities however the partners will maintain inclusion top of mind in the production of outputs, implementation of activities and organisation of events and mobilities at all times.
Environment Manifesto
All the project process will be paper free except for documentation that may be required to be in original by the National Agency or where contractual signatures are required to be original for legal purposes.
Venues for two of the three training activities and meetings are in Bologna and Verona because this will enable the three Italian partners to travel by rail and therefore reduce our carbon footprint.
Training events will have more participants then coordination meetings so more green travel is possible.
One of the three training activities is in Verona where the host partner has the larger number of participants and in this way we reduce impact on the environment with less persons needing to travel.
The three training activities are also coordination meetings and therefore we have reduced the need to travel for these meetings because key persons in the partnership will be at the same location at the same time therefore maximising resources and time while being more environment friendly.
All other venues for physical meetings are also airport cities to make travel shorter between airport and venue/s.
Other eco sustainable practices will be adopted including partners recommended to use Ecosia search engine because it is an initiative that helps the environment.
